چکیده

Due to the growth in livestock population, increasing domestic consumption of animal products and growth of end-user companies, the Indian animal feed industry is predicted to take off in a big way in the coming decade. It is mainly restricted to dairy and poultry feed manufacturing. Feed is also required for the maintenance of laboratory animals. Ensuring quality is a major concern in feed manufacture, a fact that includes fortification of the feed with nutrients and enhancing their availability. Cereals, legumes and oilseeds that are used in animal feeds have a high (nearly 80%) of total phosphate content in the form of phytic acid or phytate (Chang et al., 1977; Reddy et al., ISSN: 2319-7706 Volume 4 Number 9 (2015) pp. 156-169 http://www.ijcmas.com

Mangrove vegetation and community structure of brachyuran crabs as ecological indicators of Pondicherry coast, South east coast of India

Baseline ecological studies of Pondicherry mangroves are important for monitoring, management and conservation of mangrove ecosystems. A brachyuran crab faunal assemblage at four stations of Pondicherry mangroves is described and monthly samplings were made during September 2008 – August 2009. Totally 22 species of brachyuran crabs belonging to 12 genera and 5 families were recorded crabs bel...

Purification and characterization of an acidic, thermophilic phytase from a newly isolated Geobacillus stearothermophilus strain DM12

Microbial phytases were applied mainly to animal and human foodstuffs in order to improvemineral bioavailability and food processing. In addition, phytases have potentialbiotechnological application in various other fields, such as environmental protection, aquaculture and agriculture. Bacillus sp. DM12, an isolate from a hot spring, produces phytase, which catalyzes the hydrolysis of phytic acid...

Cloning, Codon Optimization, and Expression of Yersinia intermedia Phytase Gene in E. coli

Background: Phytate is an anti-nutritional factor in plants, which catches the most phosphorus contents and some vital minerals. Therefore, Phytase is added mainly as an additive to the monogastric animals’ foods to hydrolyze phytate and increase absorption of phosphorus. Objectives: Y. intermedia phytase is a new phytase with special characteristics such as high specific activity, pH stabilit...

Production and biochemical characterization of a thermostable phytase from Bacillus amyloliquefaciens LOR10

Phytase can improve the nutritional value of plant-based foods by enhancing protein digestibility and mineral availability through phytate digestion in the stomach and the food processing industry. Microbial sources are more promising for the production of phytases on a commercial scale. The objectives of this exploration were to screening and isolation of phytase-producing bacteria from hot sp...
